Dog Frozen Food FAQ
Why choose frozen food for my dog?
Frozen food is made with fresh, natural ingredients and contains no artificial preservatives. It provides a more balanced and healthy diet, preserving essential nutrients that support digestion, coat health, and your dog’s energy levels.
How should frozen food be stored?
It should be kept in the freezer until ready to use. For serving, we recommend thawing it in the refrigerator for several hours or overnight before feeding it to your pet.
How do I transition my dog to frozen food?
The transition should be gradual over a 7-day period:
- Days 1-2: 25% new food + 75% current food
- Days 3-4: 50% new food + 50% current food
- Days 5-6: 75% new food + 25% current food
- Day 7: 100% new food
If your dog experiences any digestive discomfort, extend the transition by a few more days or consult your veterinarian.
How much should I feed my dog?
To calculate the daily portion, multiply your dog’s weight in pounds by 0.03. The result is the percentage of the package your dog should consume daily.
- Example: A dog weighing 20 lbs → 20 × 0.03 = 0.6 (or 60% of the package per day)
For best results, divide the portion into two meals per day (morning and evening).
Can I heat the food before serving it to my dog?
It is not recommended to microwave the food, as this may alter its nutrients. If you wish to warm it slightly, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes after taking it out of the fridge or add a small amount of warm water.
Do you offer shipping for frozen food?
No. Due to the nature of the product, frozen food is only available for Local Delivery or Pick-Up at designated locations. During checkout, you must select your preferred option.
What happens if I select mail shipping for frozen food?
Any order containing frozen food that selects mail shipping will be canceled or automatically changed to local pick-up or delivery. Additional fees may apply.
Does the free shipping offer apply to frozen food?
No. The free shipping promotion on orders of $50+ does not apply to frozen food or treats.
